Jordan Brand’s 2025 “Rare Air” series will come to a conclusion later this year with the release of a special edition Air Jordan 11.
Created in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Air Jordan, the “Rare Air” series pays homage to the sampling process during the early days of Air Jordan, where details such as logo placements and color blocking were still being ironed out. Each pair in this series features unique branding details and comes dressed in a heritage-inspired color palette consisting of white, red, and royal blue. Kicking off earlier this year with two colorways of the Air Jordan 1, the 2025 “Rare Air” series also includes an Air Jordan 3 and an Air Jordan 4.
Closing out the series is one of the most popular Jordan models of all time, the Air Jordan 11. The “Rare Air” 11s feature white leather uppers paired with royal blue patent leather mudguards, black sockliners and heel tabs, and red Jumpman logos embroidered on the lateral heels. Underfoot sits a white midsole and a milky translucent outsole with red and blue traction pads.
So what is the twist on the “Rare Air” Jordan 11? Take a look at the eyelets. They feature Jordan branding like some previous special edition colorways (most recently the “Jubilee”), though the font used is a sample font that never made it onto an official release, that is until now.
The Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air” is slated to drop October 1st on SNKRS and at select retailers in full family sizing. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
