Advisory Board Crystals and Vans are back with part 2 of their collaborative partnership. After dropping their iridescent UltimateWaffle project earlier this year, the LA-based label run by Remington Guest and Heather Habel is now remixing the classic Vans Sk8-Hi.
Although the Abc. Sk8-Hi is technically a Sk8-Hi, it has been shortened to more of a 3/4-height. The top of the ankle collars has been cut down and a padded ankle cage has been added. The design features double tongues, each with its own pull tab, with another pull tab on the heel. Leather, mesh, ripstop, and suede all exist harmoniously across the upper, while the vulcanized midsole features “Abc.” branding on the toe. Additional features include a double set of thick “crystals” laces, checkerboard-patterned insoles, a bungee toggle with Abc. lace-lock, and a holographic authenticity patch on the tongue. The shoe comes in three color options: a mismatched black/white colorway dubbed “Yin-Yang Panda,” an ecru “Selenite Wand” colorway, and a navy “Blue Whale” colorway.
Raffles for the Abc. x Vans Sk8-Hi open this Saturday, November 11th at 11am ET on the Abc. website. A global release is also expected take place on November 15th via select retailers. Check out the three colorways below.
