Yohji Yamamoto and adidas have launched a new performance running collection as part of Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2025 season.
Continuing their boundary-pushing exploration of athletic wear, the new Y-3 collection by adidas and Yohji Yamamoto is comprised of high-performance running pieces that merge innovation with avant-garde design. The SS25 offering is defined by three core principles: Aeration, Reflex, and Superposition.
Engineered for athletes, the collection features two Y-3 reinterpretations of adidas running silhouettes: the Y-3 ADIOS PRO 4—offered in dark grey, off-white, and blue—and the Y-3 ADIOS 9, coming in dark grey, off-white, and green.
Beyond footwear, the collection extends into performance apparel with men’s and women’s tees, running jackets, tanks, shorts, and leggings. The apparel comes in two palettes: Yohji Yamamoto’s signature all-black, as well as in a slightly blurred all-over print that combines black, blue, grey, and green hues. Mesh inserts provide a source of ventilation while running, true to the collection’s aeration theme, while reflective Y-3 branding adds visibility to the garments.
To bring the collection to life, Y-3 has launched a campaign starring record-breaking marathon runner Tigst Assefa, shot in her home country of Ethiopia by Francis Plummer.
The Y-3 Spring/Summer 2025 Adizero Running Collection is now available on adidas.com, the CONFIRMED app, and at select retailers, with prices ranging from $120-$350 USD. Check out the campaign video and imagery below.
