After kicking off its Simpsons collaboration with the “Krusty Burger” ZX 10000, adidas is continuing the series with two more installments. Both of the new models take inspiration from beverages in the Simpsons universe.
First up, the ZX 1000 “Flaming Moe’s” comes dressed in purple hues on the mesh and suede upper. The inspiration for the design comes from season 3, episode 10, which revolves around Homer’s cocktail invention with the secret ingredient, cough syrup. Dark purple mesh is overlaid with lighter purple suede. Hits of fire red cover the Three-Stripes, midsole, heel, and tongue, while flame details in red, orange, and yellow cover the side panels. White laces get custom dubraes that depict the cocktail in all its glory.
Next up is the adidas Superstar “Squishee,” inspired by the frozen drink sold at the Kwik-E-Mart. The Kwik-E-Mart logo hits the tongue while the Squishee cup is found in the dubraes. Green leather uppers, pink laces, orange stripes, and a thick translucent outsole/toe cap complete the look. Across both shoes, black banding is used on the upper to create a cartoon 2-dimensional effect that plays into the Simpsons theme.
