If you’ve been trying to get your hands on a pair of Anthony Edwards’ AE 1s and snoozed on the first two drops, check out this next colorway, the “Best of Adi.”
Looking back through the adidas Basketball archive, we see that many iconic silhouettes have been done up in a white and black colorway. Think the “Stormtrooper” Crazy 1, or even going all the way back to the beginning in the ’60s with the Supergrip and its high-top counterpart, the Pro Model. The “Best of Adi” AE 1 continues this legacy with a white and black colorway that pays homage to the past, though the design also looks to the future. The reflective toe box and hits of neon green add a futuristic touch, plus that bold and distinct TPU overlay (dubbed the Generative Support Wing) is something we haven’t really seen before the AE 1.
The adidas AE1 “Best of Adi” drops March 1st on adidas.com and at select retailers including Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Kids Foot Locker. These will come in men’s, grade school, and preschool sizing. Check out official images below.
