A-COLD-WALL* and Converse are continuing their partnership with a new collection for Spring 2024 the celebrates Converse’s sport heritage through material exploration.
After introducing avant-garde silhouettes like the Aeon Active CX and the Sponge Crater, A-COLD-WALL* and Converse are now releasing the first-ever collaboration on the newly-introduced Weapon Ox. Samuel Ross and his team have taken this low-top version of the classic ’80s basketball model and reworked it with ACW*’s signature design language: brutalism, asymmetry, material exploration, and subdued color.
The ACW* Weapon Ox features a crinkled nylon upper in Slate with matching brushed suede overlays. A practical 3-way speed lacing system accentuates the geometric tongue, while a semi-translucent sole unit and tonal stitching lend the shoe a distinct lightness. A contrasting rust sockliner adds a subtle pop of color to the design.
A three-piece apparel capsule will be releasing alongside the Weapon Ox, comprised of a jacket, tapered trousers, and tee. All three pieces feature a relaxed, gender-free fit with minimal branding. The Gale Jacket and Gale Trousers are made from crinkle satin nylon to match the construction of the kicks, and these pieces are reversible with grey on one side and rust on the other. Meanwhile, the tee comes in rust, and all three pieces feature minimal branding.
A-COLD-WALL* will be dropping their new Converse collection on Monday, March 11th on a-cold-wall.com, with a wider release set for March 14th on converse.com and at select retailers. Check out the Spring 2024 offering below.
