BAPE is Releasing a Collection With Fred Perry

Japanese streetwear brand BAPE has secured quite a few collaborations since their start in 1993. This weekend sees the release of three of them: Dr. Martens x mastermind, Hello Kitty, and an apparel collection with British fashion label Fred Perry.

The collection features Fred Perry’s original silhouettes with BAPE’s signature camo makeovers. First is the tricot track jacket, available in two design options. Black serves as the base while the sleeves receive a more accented treatment. Camo on the sleeves, available in green or blue, is interrupted by a gold trimming complete with BAPE and Fred Perry co-branding. The Harrington jacket offers a more minimal presentation with black fabric and a smaller patch of camo on the forearm.

The second iteration is a cotton Portuguese polo shirt that boasts a more upfront olive camo dressing. The sleeves present a black makeup with glossy gold trim. Though Fred Perry usually implements a white track tape, the new collection utilizes wreaths and the APE head in its design. The offerings combine Fred Perry’s performance-ready pieces with BAPE’s signature familiarity.

The BAPE x Fred Perry collection will be available on the Fred Perry website and BAPE.com on June 26th. Check out lookbook photos below.
