Vans Launches Year of the Tiger Collection

Vans has partnered with renowned Chinese artist Chen Yingjie, aka HuaTunan, to create a Year of the Tiger collection in celebration of Chinese New Year.

The collection draws inspiration from HuaTunan’s “Stay Hungry” series of artwork, depicting various interpretations of the tiger spirit. Using “Stay Hungry” as a starting point, Yingjie also adds other urban and natural elements to the designs, such as splashed ink, oracle bone inscriptions, and modern city street signs.

Included in the collection is footwear across the Authentic, Sk8-Hi, and Old Skool silhouettes, as well as a range of apparel that includes a long-sleeve tee and a workwear jacket. The Authentic features street ink graphics, “Stay Hungry” on the black midsoles, and transparent outsoles with a tiger-stripe design. The SK8-Hi Echo DX comes with intricate tiger illustrations on the side panels, paired with an iridescent jazz stripe. Also included is two Old Skools — the first is dressed in black suede with orange tiger stripe hits on the midsole, laces, and transparent outsole. The second features an all-over street ink design on the upper and midsole, “Stay Hungry” lettering, and a transparent outsole.

The Vans x HuaTunan Year of the Tiger collection is available now on Vans.com and select retailers.
