When it comes to sneaker collabs, few names command as much attention and anticipation as Travis Scott. While fans eagerly await the launch of his signature Jordan Brand line (called “Cut The Check” for now), we also have a separate Cactus Jack x Nike project to look forward to.
The Utopia rapper is introducing his own new silhouette to Nike Sportswear called the Sharkidon, inspired by the 1997 Nike Air Zoom Spiridon. The sneakers come with a loose mesh covering the toe box and side panels, while on the forefoot is a strap with a mesh window that is reminiscent of the Nike Air Diamond Turf. The rest of the upper is covered in leather, smooth except for crinkled ankle collar. The Spiridon’s influence is found on the tooling, with its same wavy lines on the midsole and same treading on the outsole.
The Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon is set to release sometime in Summer 2024 on SNKRS, Travis Scott’s website, and select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more updates.
