Supreme is kicking off its Spring/Summer 2024 releases this week. Ahead of the first drop this Thursday, the NYC streetwear behemoth shares the lookbook and preview for what’s to come this season.
2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Supreme, and to kick things off the festivities, we have a collection of pieces created in collaboration with NYC street art legend Futura. The history of Futura x Supreme collabs goes back to 2006, when the two first linked up to release their “Divide & Conquer” tee. It featured Supreme branding across the chest in Futura’s signature handwriting, a graphic that has appeared on various Supreme x Futura collabs throughout the years. For SS24, this graphic is given the BOGO treatment, appearing on Supreme’s classic box logo tee. Futura’s contributions for SS24 also include fishtail parkas created in collaboration with Alpha Industries, cotton knit sweaters, New Era fitteds, skateboards, and balaclavas. These pieces will be releasing this Thursday as part of Supreme’s first SS24 drop.
Another classic collaboration that is making its return this season is Supreme x Muppets. The Kermit photo tee from 2008 is one of the most iconic pieces in the brand’s history. The bright green frog makes his return on a Supreme GORE-TEX Shell Jacket, which is printed with the swamp scene from The Muppet Movie when Kermit sings and plays the song “The Rainbow Connection” on the banjo. The lovable dog Muppet, Rowlf, is also featured on his own tee. While not seen in the official preview, a leaked photo recently surfaced of a Supreme x Miss Piggy tee that is expected to drop this season. The whole gang of Muppets characters also appears on a rainbow fleece jacket.
Supreme’s SS24 collection also features pieces that pay homage to UGK, specifically the Southern rap duo’s 1996 album Ridin’ Dirty. This includes a UGK x Supreme hoodie and a fitted cap with “RIP PIMP C” printed on the side. Other pieces pay homage to the late Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona, who is featured on a photo tee, soccer jersey, and camp cap. Also snuck into the lookbook is a first look at Supreme’s collaboration on Nike’s new Air Max Dn silhouette.
Every season, Supreme drops an assortment of accessories that range from mundane to absurd, and SS24 is no different. Post-it notes and incense trays fall into the former category, while the Supreme x Ducati motorcycle will likely be the most expensive and most limited item from this season. However, the matching Arai Corsair-X helmet should be more accessible. Other standout accessories include the Roland synthesizer and sequencer, the inflatable Heimplanet tent, and the Coleman folding table set.
Supreme Spring/Summer 2024 kicks off this Thursday, February 15th, in-store at Supreme locations and online on Supreme.com (10am CST). Additional drops will follow every Thursday through July 2024. Check out the complete lookbook and select items mentioned in this article below.
