Nike SB Dunk Low “Escargot” Pays Tribute to Paris

0

Following the “City of Love” and “City of Style” Dunk Lows, Nike SB is continuing its tributes to Paris on the road to the 2024 Olympic Games with another Dunk Low, this time based on Parisian cuisine.

Paris is the host city for this years Summer Olympics, where skateboarding will be featured as an event for the second time ever, following the sport’s Olympic debut in 2021. The latest Nike SB Dunk Low paying homage to Paris (first revealed by Private Selection with the nickname “Dinner Plate”) features a bright green textured upper with beige-colored overlays and metallic silver hits on the Swoosh and heel panel. A dinner plate set up appears as a graphic on the insoles.

As pointed out by Sockjig, this Dunk Low is presumably inspired by one of France’s most famous delicacies, escargot. The beige overlays represent the shells of the edible snails, while the green represents the herbed garlic butter that is stuffed inside the shells. Lastly, the silver represents the silver platter on which they are served. These might end up being called “City of Eats” to fall in line with the naming structure of the other Paris-inspired Dunks from 2024.

Grab a first look at this escargot-inspired Nike SB Dunk Low below. Expect these to drop later this year on SNKRS and at local skate shops. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
