Kevin Durant and Nike are back with a second “Producer Pack,” highlighting the natural connection between Hoop and Hip-Hop through special iterations of the KD17.
After letting Cardo, 9th Wonder, and Boi-1da do their thing on the KD15 in 2022, KD has selected a new trio of hip-hop’s hottest beatmakers to go wild on the KD17. Metro Boomin, Alchemist, and BINK! have each taken Durant’s latest signature shoe and used it as a canvas to create personalized works of art.
Metro Boomin’s pair is a tribute to the hip-hop superstar’s late mother, who’s sudden passing in 2022 is reflected in the storm graphic, representing the turmoil Metro has endured. Uppers are dressed primarily in purple, Metro’s mom’s favorite color, with bright accents symbolizing coming through the pain.
Additionally, Metro’s heroes logo adorns the tongue, representing all the single mom superheroes. The back of the heels feature a “Leslie” signature, another tribute to Metro’s mom, as well as Metro’s “Hearts On Fire” graphic. You can also find Metro’s siblings names on the inside of the tongues.

The Alchemist colorway features a gradient-like grey and purple design across the upper, similar to the design of the Air Max 95, one of Alan’s all-time favorite sneakers. The colors were pulled from the memory of a special scarf Alchemist came across while on tour in Amsterdam, showing how inspiration can really come from anywhere.
Additional features include volt accents on the Swoosh and eyelets and Alc Records branding on the tongues. Alchemist will be dropping matching tees on June 14th at noon ET on alcrecords.com.

Bink!’s colorway is loaded with salutes to his hometown, Norfolk, Virginia. The “2 Up, 2 Down” hand signs on the heels is a classic way to rep VA. Plus, the earthy tones pair well with the orange of Bink!’s alma mater, Maury High School, as well as the green, gold, and grey of Norfolk State University. Also, peep the  “HUMBLE MONSTA” branding on the outsoles.
Like Alchemist, Bink! also cooked up some apparel to go alongside the kicks. Designed in collaboration with Prince Ink, the KD 17 Humble Monsta hoodie comes in NSU green with gold outline lettering. No release details have been announced just yet, but stay tuned to Bink!’s IG for info.
