Nike Is Bringing Back the Air Max 95 “Solar Red”

With 2025 marking the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95, Nike is digging into its archive to reintroduce a fan favorite: the Nike Air Max 95 “Solar Red.”

Released as part of the original 1995 lineup, the Nike Air Max 95 “Solar Red” is often seen as the fiery counterpart to the classic “Neon,” carrying many of the same design cues. The grey gradient upper, inspired by human anatomy, remains. However, this version replaces bright volt with deep crimson accents.

Earlier this year, Nike re-released the OG “Neon” colorway, followed by a retro of the 2020 “Pink Foam” and the 2011 “Bright Mandarin,” each featuring the same grey gradient design. Together with the Air Max 95 “Solar Red,” these colorways tap into nostalgia, but there’s more happening than a simple reissue. Nike has fine-tuned the silhouette, improving its shape and expanding the Air bubble unit to more closely resemble original pairs from the ’90s and early ’00s.

Whether you’re chasing nostalgia or just discovering the silhouette, the Nike Air Max 95 “Solar Red” remains a standout in the 2025 lineup. Catch the drop during Holiday 2025 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
