How to Cop the ‘Tomb Raider’-Inspired .SWOOSH Nike Air Max 1

1

Following the reveal of the Donkey Kong-inspired pair, we now have a look at another video game-inspired Nike Air Max 1 from the .SWOOSH team.

Revealed by Nike footwear designer Bryce Wong, the upcoming Air Max 1 Low Poly “Adventure” draws inspiration from the OG 1996 Tomb Raider, which first released on the Sega Saturn, followed shortly by versions for MS-DOS and the PlayStation. Teal hits on the Swoosh and mudguard matches the teal tank top worn by Lara Croft, the game’s main protagonist, while the gum outsole matches her khaki shorts.

Further Tomb Raider inspiration is found on the insoles, which feature a printed message in alphanumeric characters: “F0rW4rD 84CK 13F7 3 71M35 84CKW4rD5 JUMP.” This is a reference to the cheat code for Tomb Raider I, II, and III on PC that grants you access to every weapon in the game: walk one step forward, one step back, turn around three times, and jump backwards.

The .SWOOSH Nike Air Max 1 Low Poly “Adventure” is slated to drop soon on swoosh.nike. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
