Original Story (11/04/24): More NIGO x Nike Air Force 3 colorways are on the way.
Earlier this fall, the Human Made General launched his first ever Nike collab, a collection of footwear and apparel featuring “White” and “Blue Void” colorways of the Air Force III Low. This collection featured a color scheme comprised of red, green, blue, pink, and yellow, inspired by Super Sentai and other tokusatsu TV programs from NIGO’s childhood.
A second drop is now on the horizon, and this time the theme is brown and fuzzy. The footwear will once again consist of two Air Force 3 Lows, which includes a previously revealed “Light British Tan” colorway and a second pair in “Baroque Brown.” These makeups are inspired in part by the Planet of the Apes films — the same movies that inspired NIGO to form A BATHING APE in 1993.
The “Baroque Brown” colorway features a furry brown upper with embossed brown leather overlays, contrasted by forest green accents on the Swoosh, sockliner, and midsole. Both this pair and the “Light British Tan” colorway come packaged with a felt “I” patch. The pairs in the previous drop came with the letter “N,” and it is speculated that there will be two additional drops for the letters “G” and “O.” Collecting all the patches will spell out NIGO, and these letters can be applied to a varsity jacket.
And for the real collectors, a reminder that there are two variations of each colorway, one with “NIGO” branding on the heel and another with reverse “OGIN” branding. The “OGIN” branded footwear and apparel is a bit more harder to get in the states, as these are released primarily in Japan and China.
