Following the official reveal of NIGO’s first Nike collab, we now have a look at a third colorway of the Human Made General’s Air Force III project.
Set to release after the White and Blue Void colorways is a brown and khaki iteration of the NIGO’s Air Force 3 Low. Instead of leather, these come with a hairy base, while the brown leather overlays are embossed with AIR FORCE III branding. Additionally, the insoles come covered in jungle-inspired graphics.
While the first two multicolor pairs were inspired by tokusatsu TV shows from NIGO’s childhood (like Super Sentai), the inspiration for this pair has yet to be revealed, though we expect it to also be inspired by pop culture from NIGO’s youth. This pair could possibly be inspired by Planet of the Apes, the same franchise that inspired NIGO to create A BATHING APE. NIGO could also be paying homage to Star Wars with a Chewbacca-inspired design (Chewie is from the forest planet Kashyyyk after all).
Interestingly, this pair comes packaged alongside a chenille letter “I,” while the first two pairs come with the letter “N.” If and when more colorways are revealed, expect them to come with the letters “G” and “O” to spell out NIGO. It is believed that these letters are meant to be used to customize a varsity jacket.
