New Balance has unveiled it MADE in USA lineup for Fall/Winter 2024, marking the sixth collection led by creative director Teddy Santis.
The FW24 lineup features many of the same silhouettes as Season 5, including the 993, 990v4, 990v6, and 998, though it swaps out the 996 to bring the classic 997 into the mix. These new styles will be released in monthly drops throughout the rest of 2024.
Kicking off the new season is a three-pair drop in classic grey tones. The 993 features “Driftwood” brown mesh with hairy suede overlays in “Shadow Grey.” This is joined by two colorways of the 990v6, one dressed in a mix of “Castlerock” and “Moonrock” grey, the other a primarily white makeup in “Reflection/Marblehead.” This first drop of the season will be available August 15th alongside a core apparel drop.
The second drop of the season features two nature-inspired colorways of the 993. One comes dressed in “Mushroom” brown with hits of purple on the tongue and heel and a bright yellow sockliner. The second comes in “Olive Leaf” green with purple and orange accents. These are joined by a 990v6 dressed in beige mesh with suede overlays in “Rich Oak” brown and “Cosmic Grape” accents.
Moving on to Drop 3, we have a “Macadamia Nut” 990v4, a tonal cream iteration of the silhouette that serves as the first quickstrike release of the season. This will be joined by a selection of outdoor and utility-inspired apparel. Drop 4 features a retro-inspired take on the 990v6 in classic color blocking, outfitted with “Dark Ember” purple suede. This drop will also feature accompanying apparel: hoodies, tees, and more.
The 997 makes its introduction to the MADE in USA collection in FW24 Drop 5, releasing in a vibrant Vintage Teal/Jade color scheme with white contrast stitching. This release is the second quickstrike of the season. Two colorways of the 998, “Classic Navy” and “Neutral Sandstone,” make up Drop 6, while the final drop consists of a 997 dressed in a neutral color palette consisting of “Moonrock” grey and “Driftwood” brown.
