UK-based sneaker boutique END. pays homage to a British culinary staple with the adidas BW Army “Chip Shop.”
Following the release of its “Emerald” Salomon XT-6, END. continues its 20th anniversary celebration with a new Three Stripes collab: a BW Army inspired by fish and chips. The classic standard-issue German army sneaker returns in its traditional white and grey colorway, reimagined with scaly leather overlays representing the battered fish and fluffy laces that mimic the texture of flaky golden chips. Other details include dark grey suede heel panels, co-branded tongue tags, and a hidden vinegar packet detail embroidered on the back side of the tongues.
The shoe’s packaging continues the fish and chips theme. They come wrapped in newspaper-style tissue paper, mirroring how chippy orders are traditionally served. This newspaper motif also appears on the insoles and features collaged articles celebrating previous END. x adidas collaborations. Rounding out the presentation is a neon sign-inspired box cover and a vinegar packet containing extra laces.
