As part of the Converse’s Renew Initiative to give literal tons of waste a second life, the shoe brand has created three denim-clad models of the Chuck 70 out of denim jeans diverted from landfills.
Converse has upcycled used denim by separating the textile into three different washes – light, medium, and dark – then butterfly cut to create the shoe panels of the Chuck 70. As a result, we’re given a medium washed denim Chuck 70 Low, plus a light-washed and a dark-washed Chuck 70 Hi, each with a white midsole.
The Converse Renew Denim Chuck 70s will be released globally on August 22nd at Converse retailers and converse.com.
