DC Shoes have whipped up a Y2K-inspired collection with Australian-based brand Butter Goods, featuring a unique spin on the Lukoda and Kalis OG.
Following their recent collab with NYC-based skate brand Bronze 56K, DC gets technical with its iconic Lukoda OG. The silhouette offers an outdoor boot-inspired colorway overlayed with khaki and blue suede. The Lukoda has a durable high-grip rubber toe and a lightweight polyurethane midsole. Lastly, the shoe includes hiking laces and the Butter Goods logo on the heel. The classic Kalis OG is customized with bungee shoe laces that feature an adjustable toggle. The shoe appears in a light blue, cloud, and off-white color scheme consisting of breathable mesh material and a bubble heel for those long walk days.
“We wanted to create something that was inspired by the era we grew up skating in. It would have blown our minds to tell our 14-year-old selves that we would be working with DC, so I wanted to do something our 14-year-old selves would have been most hyped on,” says Butter Goods co-founder Garth Mariano.
The collection continues with apparel that incorporates windbreakers with zip-off sleeves, convertible cargo pants that zip off at the knee, and a co-branded sweatshirt, tee, and bucket hat.
