Earlier this year, LA-based lifestyle brand Brain Dead announced its new partnership with adidas Originals. The two first connected on a limited Bowling shoe collab, followed by an Unstructured edition of the “OG” Stan Smith made available exclusively in London, which was then followed by a highly limited “Sound and Fury” Stan Smith in collaboration with the LA-based hardcore music festival.
While their previous projects were nearly impossible to obtain, Brain Dead and adidas are now linking up for another Stan Smith project, this one coming with a global online release. Coinciding with the US Open and Brain Dead’s 10-year anniversary, the release features the classic tennis sneaker reimagined in four colorways: Cream, Dark Green, Light Blue, and Pink. Modifications include Brain Dead’s perforated “logo head” on the side panels, furry fabric on the heel panels, and two-toned chunky frayed laces.
The Brain Dead x adidas Stan Smith collection drops September 7th via CONFIRMED (sign ups now open), the Brain Dead website, select adidas stores, and select retailers. The “Light Blue” colorway will be Brain Dead exclusive. Check out all four colorways below.
