Brain Dead and adidas Originals are back with a new tennis-inspired collection for the Spring/Summer 2025 season.
Following last year’s release that featured four Stan Smith colorways, the SS25 lineup sees the LA-based creative studio and streerwear label putting its unique spin on the adidas Forest Hills tennis shoe.
Originally launched in 1976, the adidas Forest Hills was engineered to be the lightest tennis shoe of its time. Weighing just 8.7 ounces and featuring a ventilation system inspired by aerospace engineering, the silhouette became a hallmark of performance and innovation — later finding its way into global fashion culture.
Rather than leaning on the traditional aesthetics tied to the sport of tennis, Brain Dead’s new collection with adidas challenges the conventional country club aesthetic. The Forest Hills is reimagined with hairy suede uppers, leather stripes, and co-branded details. The shoe is offered in four bold colorways featuring a two-tone design grounded in earth tones with contrasting accents.
The sneakers are accompanied by an apparel collection that includes a track jacket, pullover, a knit polo, two tees, track pants, shorts, socks, a hat, and a tennis bag. The collection sticks to a cohesive color palette of tan, green, and blue hues, with hand-drawn graphics adding artistic energy to the sporty offering.
The Brain Dead x adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2025 collection drops April 22nd on wearebraindead.com, at Brain Dead locations, and at the adidas x Brain Dead Racquet Club pop-up in Highland Park, Los Angeles.
A wider release will take place on April 25th via adidas.com and select retailers. The blue/green colorway of the Forest Hills is Brain Dead exclusive, while release details for the brown/red colorway have yet to be announced. Check out the full collection below.
