Awake NY and Converse are teaming up for their first ever collaboration, coming together to drop a collection featuring three colorways of the One Star.
The partnership kicks off with a tribute to the NYC skate scene the blossomed in the ’90s. During this era, brands like Supreme and Zoo York were being formed, while Converse was reintroducing the 1974 All Star as the One Star, a silhouette embraced by and embedded into the skate community.
Angelo Baque, Supreme’s former brand director and founder of Awake NY, celebrates this history with the Awake NY x Converse One Star Pro, offered in three colorways: Black, White Sand, and Blue. Each pair features suede uppers with the Awake NY logo embroidered on the lateral, the middle “A” placed inside the cut-out star. The footwear is accompanied by a two-piece apparel capsule that includes a cotton jersey rugby and a two-toned fleece hoodie
The Awake NY x Converse One Star collection launches this Friday, October 6th via Awake NY in-store and online. A global release will follow on October 12th on Converse.com and at select retailers. Check out the three colorways and accompanying campaign below.
