Singles’ Day started off as an obscure Chinese holiday that was created so that people without significant others can treat themselves and celebrate their singleness. It has grown to be the world’s largest consumer holiday, with the number of products sold quadrupling that of Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.
An Air Jordan 6 in women’s sizing was created for this year’s Singles’ Day, presumably so that single women could treat themselves with the offering. It comes in all-black and features floral embroidery with basketballs and Jumpman logos mixed in. A gold Jumpman hangtag hangs on the burgundy lace shield, which sort of looks like the Jumpman is being carried away by a large balloon.
Yet to be revealed is Jordan Brand’s Singles Day offering for men, which is reportedly an Air Jordan 1 High (SKU DA2728-100) that comes in a White/Varsity Red/Sail/Black color scheme. Both were originally slated to arrive on Singles’ Day (11/11), though it looks like the Air Jordan 6 has been pushed back to November 25th. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
