Y/PROJECT x Heaven by Marc Jacobs Collection

Fans of Y/PROJECT are still mourning the loss of the Paris-based fashion label. This past January, the Y/PROJECT team announced that it will be shutting down operations after a 14-year run, following the departure of creative director Glenn Martens and death of owner Gilles Elalouf. Before riding off into the sunset, Y/PROJECT will be releasing a collaborative collection with Heaven by Marc Jacobs, a project the duo has been working on over the last two years.

Y/PROJECT’s classic letter belts, denim offerings, and digital print designs are on full display, combined with the Y2K aesthetics of the polysexual sub-brand led by creative director Ava Nirui. Cropped denim jackets are presented with ultra-long sleeves, matching the ultra-stacked legs on the accompanying denim jeans. Shrunken hoodies feature “Y/PROJECT by Marc Jacobs” branding across the chest. A knit sweater hoodie, long-sleeve top, and tank top are all offered in angelic white. A rotten strawberry graphic appears on the cropped tee, with the motif also appearing in earring form. Shoulder bags and belts are equipped with silver hardware featuring a heart-shaped lock and keys. Butterfly earrings and a butterfly necklace round out the collection.

The pieces are presented in a campaign starring Opium rapper Ken Carson and model Alana Champion.

The Y/PROJECT x Heaven by Marc Jacobs collection drops Tuesday, March 25th, on the Marc Jacobs website and at the Heaven by Marc Jacobs flagship in Los Angeles. Check out the campaign and lookbook below.
