Verdy x Nike SB “Visty” Collection Launch Info

Original Story (03/04/24): Japanese graphic designer Verdy is adding another Nike SB collaboration to his portfolio: the “Visty” Dunk Low.

Nike SB first teamed up with Verdy in 2019 on a Dunk Low collab with his streetwear brand Girls Don’t Cry, a limited release that was only available in Verdy’s hometown of Osaka. The two then reconnected in 2021 for another project, this one in collaboration with Verdy’s punk-inspired label Wasted Youth. The third chapter of this collab saga now focuses on the character Visty, which Verdy first introduced in 2021 as a collectible plush toy.

Visty is a monstrous yet cute and fluffy character with sage green fur and pastel pink, yellow, and blue accents. Similarly, the “Visty” SB Dunk Low features a furry sage green upper with blue suede overlays with a corduroy-like striped embossment, mimicking the texture of Visty’s belly and feet. Pink fur is then applied to the ankle collar with additional pink on the leather Swoosh. Yellow rounds out the color scheme, applied to the laces and on the midsole that sits atop a sage green rubber outsole.

The furry design of this Dunk Low follows in the footsteps of other furry SB Dunks, like 2020’s Grateful Dead pack, which was inspired by the OG furry SB Dunks, the 2006 Three Bears Pack.

The Verdy x Nike SB Dunk Low “Visty” is expected to drop this summer on SNKRS and at select skate shops worldwide in full family sizing. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

RELEASE INFO:

Both the “Visty” Dunk Low and matching Air Max Ishod drop on September 19th at select skate shops and September 20th on SNKRS. There will also be an early launch via raffle on Verdy’s website on September 13th, open from 7am – 12pm PST.
