Closer Look: Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago/Shadow”

Original Story (08/07/24): Union and Jordan Brand have teamed up on a few Air Jordan 1 projects over the years, though none have hit quite as hard as the “Storm Blue” and “Black” Toe” iterations from 2018. It appears they are running that project back with a new colorway dropping in 2025.

According to reports from sneaker leakers (Sneaker Market RO, zSneakerHeadz, and brandon1an), a Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG is on the way, dressed in a Varsity Red, Black, Sail, Shadow Grey, and Muslin color scheme. This Union AJ1 is expected to feature the same chopped-and-screwed design motif as the 2018 colorways, made to look like they were created by stitching two different colorways together.

This new colorway is expected to feature the OG Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” color blocking on the majority of the upper, save for the ankle collar, which is expected to feature the black and grey color blocking of the OG Air Jordan 1 “Shadow.”

The new Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG is expected to drop in 2025 via UNION, SNKRS, and select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for first looks and additional updates.
