Original Story (01/17/24): Travis Scott is undoubtedly Jordan Brand’s biggest collaborator, so it was only a matter of time until La Flame received his own signature Jumpman sneaker. Well, it turns out that Travis Scott is getting more than just a signature shoe, he’s getting a whole line of signature models.
Throughout the second half of 2023, Travis Scott has been spotted rocking a couple different models from his “Jumpman Jack” (formerly believed to be called “Cut The Check”) line. One of these is the Jumpman Jack TR, the TR standing for Trainer. This silhouette carries DNA from a few different Jordan and Nike models. The forefoot strap is reminiscent of the Nike Air Trainer 1, while the midsole reminds us of the Nike Air Tech Challenge II. The rear overlay that connects to the top eyelets is also similar to the one you would find on the Nike Dunk.
Of course, Travis Scott made sure to include a few of his signature design elements. Most notably, the reverse Swoosh makes its return on the lateral side panel, and the Cactus Jack smiley face logo is embroidered on the heels. The shoe also features a unique outsole full of crevices, kind of like a “shattered” effect or like textured plaster walls. Both the left and right outsoles feature the word “JACK” in big letters that will wear off with use over time .

Update (02/04/24): Travis shock dropped the “Dark Mocha” Jumpman Jack TR during the premiere of the shoe’s commercial following his performance at the Grammys. Though this was a limited drop that quickly sold out, expect a wider release to occur in the near future. Currently, the “Dark Mocha” global release is slated for March 5th, while the “University Red” colorway is expected to land on April 30th. Check out the TV ad below.

Update (04/12/24): The “Dark Mocha” colorway will release on April 30th via SNKRS, while the “University Red” colorway will be exclusive to Travis Scott’s channels.
Update (04/18/24): The “University Red” colorway dropped today via a Houston-exclusive SNKRS Pass at Space Village. A wider release is expected to follow on the Travis Scott website.
