Original Story (04/30/25): Over the last few years, South Korea has become one of the most exciting regions in fashion, with streetwear brands like thisisneverthat, ADER ERROR, and POST ARCHIVE FACTION leading the charge. One of the more intriguing brands coming out of Seoul is Thug Club, which has quickly built a cult following for its unapologetic and rebellious spirit. This cult following has led to the brand getting an official collaboration with adidas Originals, a collection comprised of apparel and two colorways of the Superstar.
The two brands first crossed paths in 2021, when customized versions of adidas tracksuits adorned with Thug Club’s signature metal logo detailing went viral on the internet. These metallic details make their return as part of the official Spring/Summer 2025 collab, featured on wide-leg camo snap pants, zip-up track jackets, and more.
The footwear component includes two colorways of the Thug Club Superstar, one in classic black/white (JS1907) and the other in burgundy. Each pair features a 3D-sculpted toe box, exaggerating the grooves of the shell-toed classic. Additional details include “TC” branding on the tongues, T-shaped perforations between the side stripes, and metal “TC” logos on the heels.
The Thug Club x adidas Originals SS25 collection drops May 12th on the Thug Club website and via adidas Korea. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more.
