NYC-based graffiti artist Stash and Nike are running back their Air Force 1 collab from 2006 with an updated retro dropping in 2024.
The original Stash x Nike Air Force 1 released almost twenty years ago, dropping exclusively at NORT/Recon locations in New York City and San Francisco as part of a “Blue Pack” that also included an Air Max 95. The shoe featured a unique mix of materials, with blue nylon paneling on the quarters and toe box, navy leather around the heel, and grey suede overlays on the eyelets and toe.
While color blocking on the 2024 pair remains identical to the 2006 release, there are some major changes to the materials and details. The nylon paneling has been replaced with a durable ripstop fabric with added reinforcement around the toe box. Stash tags have been added to the tongues, replacing the usual Nike branding. The translucent outsoles are also gone, replaced with solid navy outsoles to match the midsoles. Also, the 2024 retro comes in a special box that features Stash’s graffiti on the interior.
