Fans of the 1906R have been eating good lately. The Y2K era-inspired classic runner has been receiving a variety of clean collabs and GR colorways, though this upcoming collaboration with Chinese brand Randomevent takes the cake (pun intended).
Inspired by cakes and other confectionery desserts, the Randomevent x New Balance 1906R features a cream-colored tight-knit mesh upper paired with matching cream leather overlays. A lighter cream hue is then applied to the heel cap, while the ABZORB-equipped midsole comes in a chocolatey brown. Red accents on the tongue and heel branding are the cherry on top, plus special graphics are applied to the insoles.
The Randomevent x New Balance 1906R “The Sweetness of Kin” drops January 12th on the Randomevent website and in-store at the Randomevent flagship in Shanghai. Check out the official photos and campaign imagery below.
