Inspired by the “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx” Tape, Wu-Tang member Raekwon collaborated with Italian footwear company Diadora on the N.9000 model.
The colorway gives a nod to the “Purple Tape” cassette that featured a clear purple plastic. Around the time when Cassette’s were still popular, the Purple Tape stood out more than the original clear plastic used on the majority tapes. The uppers on this masterpiece consist of Suede, Mesh and Patent displaying purple tones. The insoles list the tracks from the album, with several other details including a stitched 1995 on the heel.
Look out for the Packer Shoes x Raekwon x Diadora N.9000 “Purple Tape” to release at retailers like Packer Shoes on August 20th at S.O.Bs. Buyers can also expect a Raekwon concert that same day.
