Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska” Dropping Holiday 2025

Original Story (10/09/24): There has been a ton of speculation and rumors about Off-White x Jordan Brand. Are they ever going to release another collab? Are those Canary 1s or Bred 4s ever coming out? Are we stuck in a perpetual state of “ACTUALLY PENDING?”

According to Sneaker Market RO, we can expect Off-White x Jordan to return in 2025 with a new Air Jordan 1 collaboration. Most details are still TBA, though there is some speculation that the upcoming AJ1 will pay homage to the first-ever Off-White x Air Jordan 1 that Virgil Abloh designed back in 2016.

In one of his many behind-the-scenes social media posts, Virgil Abloh revealed that his original idea for the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 came by taking an X-Acto knife to an off-the-shelf Air Jordan 1. This deconstructed “sample” pair adorned with tape and “AIR BAG” in big letters on the heel “kicked off an epiphany” that became 2017’s “The Ten” collection.

The news of Off-White x Jordan returning comes at an interesting time for both brands. LVMH recently announced the sale of Off-White LLC to Bluestar Alliance, raising questions about the future of the brand. Meanwhile, Nike has just undergone a major leadership change, with John Donahoe exiting as CEO and Elliott Hill returning to the brand as his replacement. Nike has also re-hired sneaker design veteran Frank Cooke, a key member of the team that brought the original Off-White x Nike collection to life.

Update (02/06/25): According to an update from Sneaker Market RO, the 2025 Off-White x Air Jordan 1 comes in a White/White colorway. This is believed to be a re-release of the Europe-exclusive colorway that originally dropped in 2018. However, the shoe feature a different style code and is being labeled as “Alaska.” This name refers to the Virgil Abloh’s design and creative service studio Alaska Alaska, which he founded in 2017.
