In addition to the black colorway, Berlin-based cult record label PAN is also releasing a yellow iteration of its Nike Air 180 collab.
The PAN x Nike Air 180 was designed to embody the evolution of electronic music culture. It’s both an artifact of past club nights and a vision of those yet to come, marked by the patina of countless hours of movement on the dance floor. Shaped not just by design, but by experience, the shoe merges ancient craft techniques—curated by PAN’s founder Bill Kouligas—with Nike’s modern design precision.
Just like the black version, this yellow iteration features a tonal woven upper and air bubble, as well as a protective shrink-wrapped shroud that acts as a mudguard so they remain clean after a night out at the club. A pre-worn effect is also applied to the upper, so any blemishes picked up while wearing them only add character.
This yellow colorway is more limited than the black and will be individually customized after purchase during a creative workshop held by Rayon Vert during Milan Design Week.
The workshop explores the intersection of handcrafted artistry and machine-driven precision, challenging machines to replicate the unique, imperfect qualities of manual craftsmanship within an industrial process.
This multidisciplinary collaboration with Nike marks the debut project of NIX, a new platform and initiative from PAN for creative research and development. The shoe is featured in PAN’s “The Suspended Hour” installation for Milan Design Week—an art project exploring temporal liminality, the club as a space of ritual, and transition as a moment of possibility.
Shot by Momo Okabe, the accompanying campaign features Eartheater, Le Diouck, Bill Kouligas, and Arca—all radiant, all suspended in time.
The PAN x Nike Air 180 in yellow is now available exclusively on PAN’s Bandcamp, marking the first-ever sneaker released on the music platform. Check out the product shots and campaign imagery below.
