Palace Skateboards is kicking off its Holiday 2024 slate of releases with a collaboration with cult jewelers The Great Frog.
“The collaboration is inspired by the cultural melting pot of London that has fueled TGF and Palace’s punk subversive nature by osmosis over the years,” says The Great Frog’s creative designer Reino Lehtonen Riley. “Between myself, Lev, and Gareth and our shared experiences of growing up in London, we’ve created a collection that is about expressing yourself – which ultimately is a reflection of the skating community.”
TFG’s signature gothic and alternative symbolism is featured across key Palace apparel pieces, including a silver spider and dragonfly embroidered black zip hoodie and track pants, a skull-and-dagger embroidered leather jacket, and hoodies printed with gothic crosses and skulls on the back and spider graphics on the sleeves. Accessories include logo knit beanies, trucker hats, and a co-branded skateboard in silver.
The collection also features a range of jewelry, each piece made from 925 sterling silver. This includes a Skull Tri-Ferg Ring, a Palace logo ring in gothic lettering, a Spider Pendant featuring Palace’s P on the abdomen, and a Four Skulls Crucifix Ring taking inspiration from ornate crypts, engraved with Palace’s logo in a gothic font.
The campaign film for this collaboration was made by renegade director Josh Church and stars Palace pro skaters Ville Wester and Charlie Birch alongside The Great Frog London’s own jeweller Ed Haire. The film is a lo-fi darkside trip down the tunnel of doom, soundtracked by longtime Palace collaborators Rezzett.
Palace x The Great Frog Holiday 2024 drops Friday, November 29th on the Palace website, at Palace locations, and at TFG Soho in London. Check out the campaign and full range below.
