Original Story (03/30/24): Illinois-born, New York-based artist Nina Chanel Abney is following up her Air Jordan 2 collabs from 2022 with a new Jumpman collab centered around the Air Jordan 3.
The Nina Chanel 3 comes dressed in a Malachite green color scheme with construction primarily in canvas, painters’ textile of choice. This is paired with suede hits on the heel counter, toe cap, ankle collar, and eyelets. A cream-like Fossil hue is then applied to the midsole, as well as the eyestays, heel panels, laces, and sockliner. Special features include custom font on the Nike Air branding on the heels and a perforated orange Jumpman tag that can be removed by the wearer if they choose to do so.
The Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 3 is expected to drop June 20th on SNKRS and at select retailers in extended women’s sizing alongside an accompanying apparel collection. Also expect an early release on airnina.com. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
