Nike is dropping a new collection paying tribute to Kobe Bryant’s love for baseball and his home team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The collection is headlined by the Nike Kobe 6 Protro in a Dodgers blue colorway, featuring Game Royal uppers and outsoles, White laces and logos, and University Red accents on the ‘8’s, Kobe’s signature, and the baseball-inspired stitching on the tongues.
The footwear is accompanied by an assortment of “Game Royal” baseball gear, including a Diamond Elite Catcher’s Set, Alpha Elite Batting Gloves, and a Diamond Sliding Mitt. A “Dodgers” colorway of the Kobe Baseball Jersey and a pair of Nike Kobe Offcourt Slides round out the collection.
In honor of the MLB Tokyo Series, featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the Chicago Cubs, an early release of the collection will take place at UNDEFEATED’s Los Angeles and Tokyo locations on Saturday, March 15th, starting at 11am local time. Online and in-store pickup raffles for the Kobe 6 Protro will be open March 14th from 11am to 3pm PT on UNDEFEATED’s EQL page.
