Travis Scott made the “Mocha” colorway his own when he dropped his first Air Jordan 1 in 2019, but the history of the brown, white, and black color combo in Nike’s archive goes a bit further back. La Flame was possibly inspired by Nike’s “Escape Pack” from the mid ’00s, though it is also believed that the color blocking was pulled from the Nike SB Dunk Low “Trail End Brown” from 2007.
Whatever the case may be, this color combo is once again appearing on a Dunk, the Nike Dunk Low Next Nature “Baroque Brown.” It features a white leather upper with brown overlays and a black Swoosh, quite similar to the 2007 SB, though there a few obvious differences.
The most significant change is the use of materials. As part of the Next Nature series, this Dunk is constructed from at least 20% recycled materials by weight. While the majority of the upper is constructed from leather, there is a section around the ankle collar that features canvas construction.
This Next Nature Dunk Low also bares some similarities to the women’s “Cacao Wow” Dunk Low that dropped in 2023, even sharing the same yellowed midsole. However, this new Dunk comes with black on the Swoosh and outsole, plus it features the Next Nature pinwheel logo on the insoles.
The Nike Dunk Low Next Nature “Baroque Brown” is expected to drop in the coming months on Nike.com and at select retailers. Check out the official images below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for release updates.
