Nike Air Max Plus OG “Hyper Blue” Returns Spring 2024

Nike’s Air Max Plus OG “Hyper Blue” is set to make waves with a return next year. Over the years, the Air Max Plus model has welcomed other versions such as the “Scarab” colorway and their multiple vibrant collaborations with Supreme.

Originally launched in 1998 and designed by Sean McDowell, the Air Max Plus has stood the test of time and is considered a classic in the brands wide arsenal of silhouettes. This “Hyper Blue” colorway, inspired by beach sunsets and palm trees, was one of the OG colorways that dropped in ’98 and was most recently retro’d in 2018.

For the 2024 drop, we can expect a near identical design to the original, consisting of black, Chamois, Sky Blue, and Hyper Blue tones. The upper is covered in mesh and groovy black TPU overlays, while underfoot is the TN’s classic Air Max sole with multiple visible Air bubbles. The shoe is reinforced with Nike’s elasticated lacing system for an adaptive fit, and topped off with 3M detailing running down the padded tongue onto the toe box.

Nike’s Air Max Plus OG “Hyper Blue” is set to drop in Spring 2024 via SNKRS, stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more details.
