The Naruto x ASICS GEL-NYC that released overseas last year is finally getting a US release.
In December 2023, French TV show host and pop culture analyst Sébastian Abdelhamid launched his ASICS GEL-NYC he designed in collaboration with popular anime Naruto Shippuden. This “Final Arc” colorway served as a sequel to the three-pack of Naruto ASICS he dropped in 2022.
After an EU-exclusive release on the ASICS website earlier this year, the shoe is now being released in the United States for the first time. The drop will be limited to 200 pairs and will take place next Saturday August 31st at HYPLAND’s Little Tokyo store in Los Angeles, where there will be a pop-up event with music, special appearances, and more.
The ASICS GEL-NYC “Final Arc” draws inspiration from the final Pain arc in the Naruto Shippuden anime. The black and red colorway pays tribute to Naruto’s sage mode and is packed with details, including: flame detailing pulled from Naruto’s cloak, Uzumaki clan symbol on the tongue, scroll-inspired lacelocks, Konoha plate dubraes, and Kyuubi scratch mark on the heel. These also come in a special co-branded box, packaged with Kurama-themed accessories that can be attached to the shoe.
The Naruto Shippuden x ASICS GEL-NYC “Final Arc” by Sébastian Abdelhamid drops Saturday, August 31st at HYPLAND Little Tokyo in Los Angeles, located at 200 S San Pedro Street. Doors open at 12pm PT. Check out the official images below.
