MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-MARY J

MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon have unveiled a new collaborative footwear silhouette, releasing as part of their Fall/Winter 2024 season.

Introducing the XT-MARY J, a kawaii spin on the classic Salomon XT-4 trail running shoe inspired by the timeless Mary Jane school girl shoe. After turning the XT-4 into a mule last season, Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela now take the XT-4’s robust sole and combine it with a delicate open-toe upper with a single, thin Velcro strap on the forefoot.

The all-gender shoe is offered in two contrasting colorways. One features an aqua green to terracotta orange gradient on the upper with hits of bold pink and acid yellow on the chunky sole. The other comes in all black as a play on the Margiela’s signature use of monochrome to sublimate delicate details and subtly reveal the shoe’s different layers using tonal variations of asphalt and soft clay.
