Crocs has dominated the clog marketplace thanks in part to its masterful collaborations across various subcultures. Streetwear enthusiasts can pair their fits with Salehe Bembury’s Pollex silhouettes or Palace’s Mellow Slides, while the youngins (and adults!) have a wide choice of cartoon collabs to pick from: Pokémon, Shrek, and of course, Pixar’s Cars (who can forget the Lightning McQueen Croc craze). Fans of Hello Kitty can also join in on the fun, as Sanrio and Crocs have teamed up to release a collection based on the kawaii icon in celebration of her 50th anniversary.
The new Hello Kitty Classic Clog features a primarily white color palette, paired with a hit of red on the back strap and blue on the midsole. The cat ears and red bow on the forefoot and the whiskers near the toe are a playful touch, while Hello Kitty herself appears on the footbeds and rivets.
The Classic Clog is accompanied by a Stomp Slide and Siren Clog, both featuring an all-over Hello Kitty print on their uppers. The Stomp Slide features this print in red to match the bold, glittering red platform lug sole underfoot. A glittery red bow Jibbitz charm comes with this pair. Meanwhile, the Siren Clog features a blue print on the upper, a glittery blue high-heeled midsole, and comes with a red bow and Hello Kitty figure Jibbitz™ charm.
The Crocs x Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary collection drops January 17th via Crocs.com and select retailers such as Foot Locker. The Classic Clog comes in full family sizing, while the other two styles are available in adult unisex sizes. Check out the official images below.
