Converse and Feng Chen Wang are gearing up to release their second collaboration: an official version of Wang’s hand-reconstructed Converse that originally debuted on the SS19 menswear runway.
The shoes look like doubled-up versions of a normal Chuck Taylor All Star High: split-toe caps encase the shoe’s outsole, while a similarly structured heel piece balances out the shoe’s platform. The outside pieces of the shoe can be laced into the main eyelets, but they’re also designed to remain loose if the wearer chooses.
The shoes are set to come in two colorways, with one showcasing orange canvas overlays atop a white Chuck Taylor and the other comprised of white overlays atop a black shoe. The overlay designs also naturally provide slightly more flex at their breakpoints, making the wearing experience slightly enhanced over a traditional All Star.
The Feng Chen Wang Chuck 70 2-in-1 is set to drop on October 20th via Converse’s website. You can preview both colorways of the shoe down below.
