You may think Rocky is the flyest out of A$AP, but if you ask Flacko, he’ll tell you himself that Nast is the best-dressed in the group. El Sucio Guapo is so fly, he’s landed an official collaboration with Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARÇONS, a brand that Nast has been infatuated with since his teens.
Part of the COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT line, A$AP Nast’s CDG collab includes 12 styles across tees, cardigans, and button-up shirts. Doubling as merch for his forthcoming album 90s Era Nasty, this collection marks the first time COMME des Garçons SHIRT has worked with a musician on a full capsule collection. The designs draw inspiration from the album’s aesthetic and old-school New York hip-hop, with standout elements like graffiti-style wordmarks and an enlarged version of Nast’s signature chain with a giant “N” pendant.
Our first look at the collaboration came earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week, when Nast was spotted rocking a blue pinstriped button-up and grey cardigan from the offering. Embroidered on the collar of the button-up are the logos for AWGE, the A$AP creative studio, and Opium, Playboi Carti’s music label.
“I’m signing to both AWGE and Opium,” Nast revealed to British Vogue. “I wanted to showcase that, to give the fans something to be excited about. These are my brothers, and this is a huge deal for me – because this album is huge for me and because it’s with my big cousin [Rocky], and my little brother [Carti].”
The collection is presented with a campaign shot by longtime A$AP collaborator Dexter Navy, who also directed the music video to Nast’s new single “No Hammers.”
Following an early in-store launch at Dover Street Market’s New York and Los Angeles locations on May 8th, the COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT x A$AP Nast collection is now releasing globally on May 15th via the Dover Street Market E-SHOP and additional DSM locations.
