Original Story (01/05/22): If you thought Cactus Plant Flea Market’s Swarovski crystal-covered Dunks were wild, then prepare yourself for what Cynthia Lu and company have in store for the next iteration of CPFM Dunk.
Our eyes first go to the sole units. While the outsoles appear to have standard rubber construction and traction, the midsole side walls have a wet cement-like quality to them. The uppers come dressed in earthy beige suedes, with the base featuring a quilted triangular lattice pattern. Other details include mismatching sockliners, puffy tongues, a yin-yang graphic on the lateral heel, and two sets of thick laces (one hiking style, the other flat). Another interesting detail is that there is only one large Swoosh on the pair, painted in white on the lateral side of the left shoe. These also come with a brown terry cloth drawstring bag adorned with a yin-yang symbol and “just do it” branding.
