Original Story (02/11/25): After launching their first collaboration together in 2024, Bode and Nike are continuing their partnership with more Astrograbber colorways in 2025.
The new collaborative footwear styles were unveiled on February 7th during the Bode Rec. Spring 2025 fashion show at the GQ Bowl in New Orleans. The Bode x Nike Astrograbber “Chlorophyll,” dressed in bright green leather, was spotted on the runway on the feet of Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. An all-black colorway with woven textile uppers was also unveiled at the event. Both are equipped with sports-themed metallic gold lace charms and come in custom packaging.
Bode and Nike reintroduced the Astrograbber last year in black leather and cream mesh colorways as part of a collection inspired by classic American athletic wear from the ’70s. The Astrograbber silhouette perfectly fits into this aesthetic, as Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman developed the waffle-soled shoe in the ’70s in response to the introduction of synthetic turf in field sports.

Update (03/09/25): Bode and Nike have announced the release of their two new Astrograbber colorways.
The green colorway, inspired by a pair of Bowerman’s homemade, hand-dyed waffle joggers that Bode Aujla spotted during her visit to the Department of Nike Archives, will be Bode exclusive, available March 14th at bode.com, Bode retail locations in Los Angeles and New York City, and a new Bode boutique in Paris.
The black colorway will be available March 14th via Bode, followed by a wider release on March 21st on SNKRS and at select Nike and Bode Rec. retail partners.
The announcement is accompanied by a campaign starring Ja’Marr Chase, shot in New Orleans by Eduardo Cerruti and Stephanie Draime days ahead of the runway debut.
“The new Astrograbber colorways are timeless and easy to wear, giving the next generation new ways to add a throwback, vintage style to their look,” says Chase. “Nike and Bode Rec. hit all the right notes with their first collection last year, and these colorways take their partnership to another level.”
