Original Story (01/22/24): A BATHING APE is introducing a new “Enlarged” iteration of its classic BAPE STA.
The BAPE STA Enlarged has all of the features of the standard BAPE STA, with one major difference. The STA logo on the side panels has been enlarged so it now extends onto the midsole, while also being constructed from TPU instead of the usual leather.
BAPE introduces the BAPE STA Enlarged in three colorway — black, red, and green — each with a smooth white calf leather base. Returning features from the classic BAPE STA include the APE HEAD logo on the lateral heel, BAPE STA branding on the tongue label and back tab, and metallic silver APE HEAD lace jewels. Each pair comes in a camo-colored box and is packaged with a tan dustbag and extra set of white laces.
The BAPE STA Enlarged is currently making it way to retailers worldwide. Pairs are available now via Feature (US), Solebox (EU) and Footshop (EU). Expect a wider release via BAPE.com and additional retailers to arrive in the coming days. In the meantime, check out all three launch colorways below.
Update (01/22/24): BAPE has officially announced the release of this remake of the classic BAPE STA. While retailers were calling these the BAPE STA Enlarged, BAPE themselves are calling them the BAPE STA OS, the OS being short for “Oversized.” These officially drop January 27th at BAPE STORE locations and on BAPE.com.
