ASICS SportStyle has been killing the game with their new silhouettes designed with Kiko Kostadinov Studio. Since the start of their partnership in late 2022, the brand has introduced a handful of retro-futuristic styles including the HN2-S PROTOBLAST, UB3-S GEL-NIMBUS 9, and HS3-S GEL-NANDI SP V. As a follow-up to the UB3-S, ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov Studio now present the UB5-S GEL-NIMBUS 9.
The UB5-S GEL-NIMBUS 9 makes its debut in two colorways: Black/Gunmetal and Glacier Grey/Soothing Sea. The design draws inspiration from the concept of outdoor exploration, revamping the OG GEL-NIMBUS 9 with influences found in nature. The color palettes are influenced by elements from scenic landscapes and encounters with the sea.
Technical details include a segmented midsole with GEL technology on both the heel and forefoot for increased shock absorption, elongated tongue loops, and mesh uppers with embossed reinforcement and lenticular heel paneling.
