ASICS Sportstyle Launches the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1

2

Mesh-based runners have taken over as one of the hippest styles in sneakers. Just look at the rise of silhouettes such as the Nike Vomero 5 and the New Balance 1906R. However, no one does Mesh Boyz Summer quite like ASICS, proving it once again with their latest silhouette, the GEL NIMBUS 10.1.

The GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 is a hybrid of sorts, taking the upper of the OG GEL-NIMBUS 10 from 2008 and combining it with the tooling of one of ASICS’ most popular models, the GEL-KAYANO 14. The asymmetric upper was originally designed to accommodate the foot’s natural bone structure, while the midsole combines dual-layer EVA foam, GEL technology inserts, and TRUSSTIC technology to help provide advanced cushioning and support.

The new model was introduced with the help of 4× NFL Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs, who selected the silhouette for his first sneaker collaboration with ASICS. The Stefon Diggs GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 features a white open-mesh upper with metallic silver and warped grid overlays. Pink accents are found on the tongue and heel counter.

While the Stefon Diggs edition is a Friends & Family exclusive limited to 250 pairs, ASICS has three GR colorways for the general public to choose from. One features grey mesh with silver and black accents. Another comes with white mesh and blue accents. The third features a minty Ocean Haze hue on the mesh and midsole.

The ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 is available on the ASICS website and at select retailers. Check out the three launch colorways below.
