Jordan Brand will be continuing its tradition of holiday Air Jordan 11 releases in 2024 with the return of the OG “Columbia” colorway.
The holiday Air Jordan 11 release from Jordan Brand is arguably the biggest sneaker release of the year. After releasing the DMP-style “Gratitude” colorway in 2023 as a thank you to OG Jordan fans for decades of support, the Jumpman is now planning on bringing back the OG “Columbia” (aka “Legend Blue”) Air Jordan 11 for the first time since 2014, as first reported by Sneaker Files and zSneakerHeadz.
The Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” was one of the original colorways of the Air Jordan 11 that launched in 1996 and was famously worn by Michael Jordan during the 1996 NBA All-Star Game, where he was crowned All-Star MVP. The colorway was retro’d in 2001, followed by a second retro in 2014. The third retro in 2024 is expected to more closely resemble the original 1996 version with a higher cut patent leather mudguard, as opposed to the 2001 retro which came with a lower-cut patent leather overlay.
